What Happens in Your First MMA Class?
Your first class will usually begin with a warm-up to get your body moving and prepare you for training. You’ll then learn some of the basic techniques used in MMA, which may include striking, footwork, movement, grappling and self-defence skills.
Don’t worry about getting everything right straight away. MMA is a skill-based sport, so you’ll gradually learn and improve as you attend more sessions.
Do I Need to Be Fit Before Starting MMA?
Absolutely not. One of the great things about MMA training is that your fitness improves as you train.
Classes can help develop strength, stamina, coordination, balance and flexibility, while regular training can also help you become more confident in your physical abilities.
