There are a variety of different classes and courses designed around the individual whether it be classes for children, teenagers, families, adults or ladies only and everyone is welcome to attend regardless of ability.
The emphasis of the classes is very much on using MMA for self defence, fitness and technique. Not on fighting in the ring.
Your health, fitness, strength, stamina and confidence will all improve significantly as you attend the classes and progress learning the techniques. It is also very beneficial for balance, coordination, flexibility, reflexes, concentration and mental health.
We combine martial arts and sports science with our tie up with the Liverpool Universities teams. The lessons are carefully planned out to be effective for people of all ages, abilities and fitness. You will be training in a safe and professional environment with experienced coaches who will work to improve your fitness and skills in a friendly, engaging and inclusive way.
The emphasis is on progressing at the right rate for that individual and improving technique, there are no deadlines or pressure to reach any specific levels within certain time frames. We also help you to focus on good nutrition and hydration. Your health and wellbeing are a top priority for us.
The classes and seminars are sociable and you will make new friends from different age groups, background and abilities. The aim of the Academies is to promote a community feel where you are made to feel welcome by everyone involved.
